Correction/retraction:
The problem about not cold-booting was in my 286AT Clone which was
running the AMI BIOS ROM set. Changing to an AWARD BIOS set "cured"
the no-cold-boot problem with the WD-1006-WAH.

Now that I've got the -1006- to work in my 286 machine I'll be
moving it to my '386, re-formatting the drive (to use 1:1 interleave
which it supports) and re-installing the UNIX (assuming I can get
the INSTALL script to skip over the drive formatting/partitioning
sequence). But not until I get a promised ROM upgrade to make the
controller more amenable to UNIX disk access. (I think the advanced
track buffering will be disabled, or something like that.)
