I have a rather interesting problem that has been giving me ..... well lets leave it there. The problem is this : I have a no name 8 mhz XT compat. and I have two CPU chips a NEC V20 (8 mhz) and a FUjitsu 8088-2. (Not both in the machine at once of cours) With the Fujitsu chip a program in Turbo Pascal called CONCUR.PAS by Hans Passant, which emulates concurent programing, will not work. The machine locks up and requires a cold boot. It runs with the V20 chip though. The problem with the V20 chip is that it won't permit a warm boot. I have to shut down and start up again. (a real pain because my hard disk requires a rest before it'll even think about working again.) Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Or how the fix the problem of not being able to reboot with the V20? Does anyone really care?
