I'm currently looking for a Bulletin Board System to run on an IBM AT or XT
-- any suggestions? The major factors I'm looking for are:
1) Ease of setup and maintenance. I'm hoping for something with the
ability to change the features of the board fairly painless. It should
be dynamic enough to allow new sections to be set up with little hassle.
2) Ease of use. I'm not looking for something with a command structure
similar to DOS; rather, something with single-key commands that print
lists of commands.
3) Standard download and upload protocols.
I'm also interested in the possibility of running multiple users
(multi-tasking) at a later time -- but the features listed above take top
priority.
PC Magazine recommended two in their Oct. 13th issue: FIDO and Chairman.
Any comments and/or alternatives about/to these two?
I'm in a bit of a rush -- any mailed replies would be appreciated!
