The Sanyo MBC550 is a pc clone which is >>sort of<< compatible with the IBM PC. Is there any known way to doctor this machine into full compatibility? As I understand, one of the problems is a non-standard video driver board, is this the only problem and will a new board fix everything? Also, is the floppy disk driver non-compatible... we've had some probs reading disks written on a Z-161 in the Sanyo. If the problem is more complex than replacing a few boards, what about swapping in new BIOS roms for whatever is in there now? Comments, clues, or suggestions appreciated. If a new mother board is the only way to go, how useful are the other boards... could they be plugged right back in, or would wholesale replacement be the order of the day? I'm looking for el-cheapo technique to get full compatability, any ideas net-land? =============================================================================== Mark Supinski 916-10 Southgate Drive (814) 867-2550 State College Pa. 16801 Replies: MRS at PSUVM "Did you ever wonder what they do with frog ARMS??" ===============================================================================
