PC Connection is a mail order house in Marlow, New Hampshire. I
see that in one of their latest ads, if you buy a combination of
a Seagate hard disk and Western Digital controller for an XT, --
obviously the most commonly sold type of hard disk combo -- you
get a free videotape instructing you on how to install the disk
and board. This is so smart! They probably have had to field so
many calls on how to do this because neither Seagate nor Western
Digital supplies layperson-readable instructions with their
stuff. The cost of producing and distributing the tape is
probably not insignificant but it's probably cheaper than the
phone calls it can prevent. Besides, it's more valuable for the
customer.

I have dealt with this company before and I really recommend it.
They are very on-the-ball, as this shows. Their prices are
always just a touch above rockbottom but there are no hidden
handling or shipping costs, they are very fast, and the sales
people KNOW THE MERCHANDISE. They are as good a value as is
available.
