A short while ago someone wrote requesting information on a high density drive that would reliably write low density diskettes. I was unable to reach the person via e-mail, and there was a thundering silence on the net on the topic. Is there such a beast, and where can I find it if so? Thanks! I don't know of any machine which natively writes low density disks in a high density drive (at least not so that another low density drive can read it reliably). However, I've seen LOTS of ads for a product which supposedly lets any PC-AT clone reliably write disks that a 360-K drive can read. The product and company are: CPYAT2PC: Microbridge Computers International, Inc. 655 Sky Way - Suite 125 San Carlos, CA 94070 1-800-621-0851, Ext. 777 (CA) 415-593-8777 (NY) 212-334-1858 I have never used this product, so neither I nor Penn State is endorsing it. I'm just curious about it. At $79, plus $4 for shipping and handling, it sounds pretty good. Does anyone have experience with it? I've NEVER seen it reviewed anywhere. P.S. The information above is from Microbridge's ad on p. 545 of "PC Magazine," issue of October 13, 1987.
