Yo, My brother in-law has sucessfully started an electrical contracting buisness. He needs software to perform job costing, inventory in respect to job costing, labor costs in respect to job costing and job estimating. Any suggestions ? I have been drafted to help him set up a computer system.I'll recommend : pc-at clone 40 meg 1 meg memory modem to dial in from home( is this possible ?) There are packages on the market for electrical contractors I just don't know any right now. I guess I'll have to gather them all and weed through. Could someone tell me if it makes sense to buy Data Base III and try to write some custom stuff for the guy. Perhaps someone informed in this general area could make a reccomendation on how I should proceed ? He's a great guy and has done alot for me so I guess I've got to help.
