[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Info wanted about Indigo Data Systems PC MultiBoard

seth@newsrm12.berkeley.edu.UUCP (11/19/87)

I recently acquired a second-hand Indigo Data Systems PC MultiBoard.
Unfortunately, the manual was missing and Indigo Data Systems has apparently
gone out of business. I have tried to install the card in my IBM PC (Revision
B with 256K on the system board and another 256K on an Apparat RAM card), but
I have not been able to get it to work at all. I haven't been able to figure out
the proper switch settings to expand my RAM to 640K. (The MultiBoard is fully
populated with 256K. I only need to use 128K of it to bring my RAM to 640K.)
I have tried switch settings that would be appropriate for the IBM 64/256 RAM
card and for the Apparat RAM card, but I have not found any switch settings
that do result in POST or parity errors when I set the switches on the system
board for 640K. I also have not been able to get my computer to recognize the
serial on the MultiBoard. (I set a jumper on the board so that it would
respond as COM2).

If anyone knows anything about this board or knows how I can obtain a copy of
the manual, I would greatly appreciate it if you would contact me. I would
also be interested in obtaining the software that originally came with the
MultiBoard so that I can set the clock. Thanks,

Seth Novogrodsky
