I just experienced a strange problem on an IBM 6mhz AT with an Intel Above Board. A person I work with asked me to help install and configure this board, so I did, and since he had 3 MB of memory on the board, I set up a print spooler, using Intel's qickbuf.com program, ver 3.1. I told the program that it was on an AT, and to use 128K of memory. I tried it out, and everything looked fine, until my friend tried to print from Lotus 123 ver 2.0. When he printed, many cells were blanked out or set to zero, both in the sheet and on the printed output (which was buffered) and Lotus would get hung if you tried to look at one of these munged cells. I took out the buffer and everything worked fine. I put it back in and it was screwed up again. According to the status display of Lotus, it thinks that it has the extra memory (I can never tell the difference between extended and expanded memory, so I just say extra :-). What is going on here? By the way, I did run all the Intel setup and diagnostic programs, and they concluded that the memory was OK.
