[comp.sys.ibm.pc] vdisk and pspooler in extended memory?

kaires@hubcap.UUCP (11/21/87)

I have a PC's Limited 286 with 384K of extended memory. The question is
can I use this memory partly as a virtual disk and partly a print
spooler? I am currently using all 384K as RAM disk (using DOS's vdisk).
Is there a public, private or shareware print spooler that will work in
extended memory with the RAM disk (ie. not intefering with the RAM disk)

Thanks in advance for any information.

Multisoft, a small company in Beaverton, OR, makes a very good disk cache
called Super PC-Kwik, and a print spooler (forget the name) which can share
extended memory (or expanded memory) with the cache. A disk cache is of
course not exactly the same as a RAM disk, but gives a similar speedup, and
is easier to use.
