They also appear on the new Fad Gadget single ``Collapsing New People,'' a kind of metal/dance (no thanks, SPK !) synthesis that even Billboard Magazine has caught on to. EN-type stuff was supposed to be the next Big Alternative Thing in England last year, but then along came the biggest wave of shamelessly commercial pop in a long time. The 12" of ``Collapsing New People'' (seems to be about the wasted-look types that hang around the Batcave and discuss what they've read in NME and the Face) has two mixes: London and Berlin. Also included is a track called ``Spoil the Child'' which is quite different from either old or new FG, but is still not very mainstream. -- ``Bob'' (Robert P.
