Thank you to all the people who responded to my problems with downloading uudecoded files with kermit. The answer, as so many pointed out, was that I had neglected to specify binary (or image or 8-bit) transmission to kermit. This is done by using the -i flag when invoking kermit under UNIX as well as using the "set file type binary" command to the kermit command processor. I hope this helps anyone with similar problems and once again thanks for all the prompt replies. -- Ari Zymelman
