This is a general request for help and/or pointers to the information location for the following. Organization: National Library of Medicine We are currently doing research in document capture and storage of library books. We basically are using an IBM AT with a special board for compression and decompression of the images that are going to be displayed. This compression board is interrupt driven and has its own processor. The interrupt is at IRQ 9. What we intend to do is give the board an image to compress and go about our business until its done. The board will be controlled through a TSR program and should signal that it has completed its task. Question: How do you set-up a TSR that can watch the IRQ 9 line? Or any other line. How does the 8259A PIC get involved - does it need to be set to some magic value? Jim Seamans National Library of Medicine (301) 496-4441
