I have been engaged in developing educational software for mentally
retarded children.
One of quite a few special problems to consider is a difficulty in
passing along messages (errors and guidelines) in a manner that
1) will be noticed and 2) does not totally stop the execution if
the message is ignored.
Speach could be a possible solution, which brings me to my
question, is there anybody out there that knows of references to,
and of cource source code describing Speach-synthesizers?
Preferably those written in Turbo Pascal.
Naturally, I'm aware of the fact that there are commercial products
lying around. Those have a few big disadvantages though.
1. They are quite expensive
2. One more component must be bought/transported/connected and
persuaded to work in all possible machines.
All hints would be grately appreciated.
