First, thanks to those who suggested that I buy a '386 machine from Eltech Research. The machine I got has 2 meg of RAM, a 70MB drive, EGA, etc. All for around $4500. It's fast, too, >21 on SI index. I would suggest this machine as a solid one. However, now we're looking for more machines. In particular, I'd like to know if anybody has dealt with Micro-1, Dyna computer or Dataworld. the specific machine that I'm interested in are as follows: Micro-1 'worlds fastest portable' - 386, 20mhz/0 waits. In a CompaqIII style case, but can support 6 cards. This particular chassis I have seen advertised by many, so I guess that it's a cheap import, but if anybody knows about it, please tell me. 'World's fastest desktop' - all sorts of nice specs. Dyna Computer inc The salesperson I spoke with mentioned that they are a MAJOR outfit. they seem to sell mainly parts for people to integrate into full systems. The unit that looked most impressive is one built around the 'Chips' set, and can hold 2 or 8MB of RAM on the mother-board in SIP modules. They say that they have versions up to 24mhz/0 wait. Is this for real? Dataworld This is another selling the portable system. They've got one with a 12mhz '286 and 40MB drive for 2085.00. Actually, I'm mainly looking for '386 machines now, but I'm just looking to see if anybody knows anything about this portable chassis. Well, thanks in advance. I'll let you know when we get a machine if there is a company to patronize or avoid. -Ted Inoue
