(actually anything with greater than 8 >bit precision would be nice to know about) >Greg Corson >19141 Summers Drive >South Bend, IN 46637 >(219) 277-5306 (weekdays till 6pm eastern) >{pur-ee,rutgers,uunet}!iuvax!ndmath!milo call ariel in new york. the number is (212) 925-4155. ariel right now has the first run pc boards of a 16 bit a/d/a that interfaces directly with the motorola DSP56000ADS (the applications development system--$3000 (uses the pc now, mac II version available in march,1988 or sooner)) for the motorola DSP56001 chip. i don't know the price of the ariel board. the ariel board is a dual input 16 bit a/d. it has a provision for a separate power supply so you don't use the pc or mac's power and you can get a real 16 bit a/d. the ariel board also has circuitry on it so you can interface your compact disk directly to the board. i understand the sampling rate of the ariel board is 50KHz. the guy who runs ariel is tony. i think the ariel board will be available sometime in january, 1988. bryant wilder
