Several weeks ago I saw mention of a patch for Procomm that splices on Zmodem protocol. I am seeking a source for that patch, and/or comments about it. -- Have you ever WATCHED cable TV, Judge Kennedy? decuac!netsys!wb8foz

(This is a responce to a question about a ZMODEM patch for PROCOMM, my system wouldn't let me Reply to it.) I use a program called POE (Procomm Outer Environment [I think]) that lets you patch any protocol you want into Procomm. It is tied in via the <ALT>-<A> command key. The latest version I have seen is called POE110.ARC and is available on many BBSs. If you can't find it where you are you can get it from FidoNode 152/201 (The Castle BBS - [503] 757-8841) via SEADog or Opus file request (5am - midnight) or download from files area 1. (One call to get permissions. Just send me mail before you call and I'll give you an account to save you a dime or a dollar.) I have found POE to be a very good program. I just wish that Procomm+ had ZMODEM built in, but as it doesn't, I am sure that POE will continue to be popular. I should add that the ZMODEM included with POE has expanded error recovery and a bunch of other things. It is DSZ, but I don't know the version number. If you have any more questions, just send me mail.
