Does someone have any experience with typing tutors available
on IBM-PCs ? Can you make some recommendations about their
     quality and usefulness ?

I believe that PC Magazine reviewed a couple of them in their back
pages a few issues ago. - Gary Chapman (chapman@acf1.nyu.edu)

I have checked out Typing Tutor III ( I believe it now is up to IV).
It is a sharp system. It dynamically generates exercises based on which
keys need more practice. It also has a typing exercise in
the form of a game which can give you very good practice.
