From Ted Holden, HT Enterprises: Most non-Roman-alphabet software for PCs seems to be in the $400-$600 range, hence most potential users might wonder about the little $70 DuangJan package from MegaChomp of Philly (215 331-2748). The Cyrillic-English version at least is quite good, switching between the two alphabets with the F2 key. It can drive most common printers either in graphics mode or, if the printer has download font capability, by downloading the Cyrillic font, which is faster. The package generally behaves like a somewhat improved WordStar, using \U, \B etc for underlining and bolding etc. and it's own menu system for line-spacing, moving or deleting block text, and most normal features. In Cyrillic mode, the package uses the PC's keyboard like a Soviet type 0 keyboard as its normal option; it gives you the capability of switching to one of the two other types or alternatively of letting you design your own keyboard system. All in all, quite good, and I would have to assume that the versions for the other alphabets which they claim to support would work as nicely. Ted Holden HT Enterprises
