Has anyone used the MS windows program development package? If so,I'd be interested in hearing your comments about it and whether or not to buy it. Rich W.

The development package is essential if you're actually going to call the routines to do windowing. The documentation has deficiencies, and the code has bugs, but without the documentation, there's just no way to develop a program that really does stuff. Although the MS documentation is essential, you are also going to need a book named "Programmer's Guide to Microsoft Windows". It's published by Sybex or Sytex or Sytek or something like that. With that book and the MSW dev kit, you can figure out pretty much anything you need. You might want to buy the book and see what you think before springing for the hundreds of bucks for the dev kit. /kmt
