[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Toronto readers: HD controller wanted

brian@radio.toronto.edu (Brian Glendenning) (12/22/87)

Does anyone have an old hard disk controller lying around that they'd be
interested in getting rid of? A friend has offered to lend me a "somewhat
flaky" hard disk. I am so tired of living on floppies that sounds inviting!

So, if you've got an hard disk controller you don't need anymore (maybe you
upgraded to RLL) I'd like to buy it from you. I'd prefer a "standard"
controller (western digital?) so that I can run Minix off it.

Failing that, where are likely places to buy new ones on the cheap. I'm
told they run about $125. Does that sound right?

Keep the world happy, keep distribution tor. Thanks.
