A user at our site is looking for sources and/or hints
on how to implement command recall and editing like DOSEDIT,
CED and other programs. DO any of these programs come with source ?
Any pointers to BBS's, ftp'able sites etc. welcome.

The PC Magazine utility DOS-EDIT.COM hould have the documentation shown in volume 5, Issue 03, page 217. I cannot verify this information since I no longer have that issue in my library, but nearly every one of the PC Mag utilities has both assembler and BASIC source accompanying the article describing it. You should also be able to get the source electronically via the PC Mag BBS. I do not have the number handy, but it is given in every issue of PC Mag. hoctor@osiris
