[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Kermit 2.29C and vi problem.

I have started using the 2.29C I recently got off here. I seem
to have a problem while using vi:

	The mode line disappears when ever I move the cursor down
	far enough that scrolling is required. The last line 
	prints over the existing line and the screen does not
	update.

I have tried: SET TERMINAL ROLL ON to no avail. This did not
happen with the previous version I was using (Nov 87).
	I shall appreciate any help.
