[comp.sys.ibm.pc] I need help programming a DT2821 a/d converter board

cheveign@ircam.UUCP (Alain de Cheveigne) (01/02/88)

I'm trying to program a Data Translation DT2821 a/d converter board.
I need to process each sample as it comes in, so this rules out DMA.
I want successive conversions to occur on pulses from the on-board
clock (at 16 KHz).

According to the documentation, after each conversion, my program must
issue a software trigger for the next sample. The trouble is that
this trigger resets the clock: the next sample occurs at one clock
period *from the trigger*, and not from the previous sample.
The result is that the sampling period is always slightly longer than
the clock period.

If anyone has experience with this board, could you send me a mail?
