I am looking for a program to write the format information on a hard disk on an IBM AT-ish system. I want to format non-standard disks (like a 36MB and 72MB) so the program on the IBM maintenance disk is useless. Anyone out there have such a program? Thanks. -- Phil Hughes, SSC, Inc. P.O. I would recommend using Speedstor from Storage Dimensions. It is a partitioning package for large drives (up to 3GB). One of the other useful services is it low-level formatting routines. It has a menu-driven facility by where you choose the drive brand/style from a database and it sets everything up. If the drive wouldnt happen to be on the database, it has a selection for entering the cyl/head/sec/LZ/etc for whatever you want. The datbase has everything imaginable in it so its likely it will have the drive your using. They advertise in most major magazines.
