There are lots of ways to expand a Jr's memory. New products (within the last year) even! I'm typing from recollection rather than having a list in front of me. For sidecars, there are Microsoft and Impulse (now a new company has taken over, don't remember name) which come with, or can be jumped to 512K. There are other brands, I can't remember which ones for sure go to 512K. Internally, the 'jrHotShot' can be purchased which comes as a little daughterboard with various configurations, including extra floppy controller. Cost on the order of $200 plus or minus depending on options. This is available from Ed Strauss (the designer) or any of many PCjr supporting companies. These companies tend to advertise and/or get mentioned in PCJr club/national newsletters. Etc. Best way to get the exact info you want is to contact a PCjr club or one of the PCjr national magazines. I have all this info home, so pardon the sparse details. Support your local PCjr club, and they will support you! Unfortunately I don't know offhand of one in your neck of the woods. I'm the newsletter editor of the San Francisco PCjr Club - our BBS, if you want to spend a few dimes, is 415-997-4874. . . |=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-| "What will I be when I grow up? | Herb Gellis | You are already grown up. | {ucbvax,...}!hplabs!hpindda!herb | You mean this is as UP as I will get?..." |=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-| | | David Gerrold, "When HARLIE Was One" --- ---
