My wife is studying Law and writing a term paper about the flow of high
technology to the Soviet bloc and the efforts to restrict this. This
involves reading the Export Administration Act, the policy of embargo
lists and about the CoCom setup, but during the spring there has been a
debate in Congress between the Senate and the administration about the
renewal and content of the said act.
She has great difficulty in getting up to date information about work
on the renewal of this Act because it takes quite a long time for
papers and magazines to reach Sweden. Therefore she would like
information on what is happening in Congress, are there any proposals
to a new law? What is being said on the media about the subject? If
possible also some references to any recent books and Congress
publications on this subject.
