[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Cursor motion in Smart Spreadsheet

jeff@cjsa.UUCP (C. Jeffery Small) (01/20/88)

I am using the Smart Spreadsheet on a Unix-pc and have a question about
cursor control.

I would like to define macros which will allow me to move (in one keystroke)
all the way to the left or right edge of the defined area of the spreadsheet
while remaining in the same row. This requires knowing the value of the
min and max columns actively used by the spreadsheet - something for which
Smart doesn't appear to offer a function. I would like a generic macro which
will work even as you alter the overall size of the spreadsheet.

I have been unable to come up with a trick to accomplish this. Does anyone
have any suggestions?

I am posting this to comp.sys.ibm.pc since it is my guess that this is
where most Smart users are to be found. However, I do not follow this
group, so please reply by email if you can offer any advice.

Thanks in advance.
