I just posted version 2.30 of Kermit for MS DOS computers. I posted it to comp.binaries.ibm.pc. I uuencoded it and then split the uuencoded file into four files. To make use of the four resulting posted files, use a text editor or a clever shell script to concatenate them and remove all lines except for the one that says "begin", the one that says "end", and the ones that begin with a capital 'M'. Then you can uudecode the file into "MSVIBM.EXE", which is version 2.30 of Kermit. This version of MS Kermit is a terminal emulation program built-in with the Kermit file transfer protocol. It is free from Columbia University and we are all free to copy it as many times as we like, provided that it is done so under their copyright agreement. This version now offers Tektronix emulation, as well as VT52, VT100, Heath-19, which have been there for a while. Other improvements have been added, too. IMPORTANT NOTE! I have nothing to do with the Kermit project! I ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ just got the files over the Arpanet and am posting for those who cannot do the same. Please send me no bug reports or comments on the program. If you really really really really really really really want the document file, I will post it again. It is roughly 250,000 bytes! If you can use ftp, please get it from "cu20b.columbia.edu". The document file is called something like "ker:mst30.doc".
