A colleague of mine is researching possible ways of doing counselling of personal/health/emotional problems by computer and by other non-visual distance learning methods. In particular he is interested in how provision can (or ought) to be made for the lack of non-verbal communication between counsellor and counsellee (?) when there is no visual contact, or when the counsellor just happens to be a computer program. He will use PC clones for any software which could be suitable. We are aware of some software produced by "Multihealth Systems Inc": If You Drink Coping With Tests Help - Esteem Help - Stress Can anyone point him to any other PC software, or any sources of relevant publications in this general area? He would be _very_ grateful. Please e-mail to the address(es) below, and I will summarize in due course. -- mquigley@mun.bitnet martyn@garfield.uucp
