Each year, ACM puts on a series of competitive
programming contests for university students to participate
in. Usually, a university or college has an elimination
contest to choose the team members to enter. This team is
then sent to the location of the ACM regional contest for
that specific time zone.

The top two teams from the regional contests are then
able to enter the ACM international contest. This year, the
international contest is being held in New-Orleans.

This year, the University of Alberta has been selected
to host the ACM Regional contest for the Mountain Region
Time Zone. The event will take place on October 27th. If you
are in the Mountain Region and haven't already received our
pamphlets in the mail, or you wish further information, you
may contact me by USENET mail, postal mail, or by phone. My
