I'm posting this for a friend that doesn't have access to USENET, here goes: Anybody aware of a problem with MicroSoft's MAKE utility (distributed along with their MASM 5.0) freezing when Novell's ANET3 is running? The sympton is that when ANET3 is running, even if not logged in to the network MAKE will attemp to execute the first line (usually a compile) and then just freeze after it finishes. Fortunately it doesn't have to be cold-booted, a warm-boot will do. Then when you re-invoke MAKE, it will attempt to execute the next line (usually a link) and will give a STACK overflow error. Everything is fine without ANET3 running. Novell NetWare 286 v2.0a is the one involved. Any hints/suggestions will be appreciated. Please e-mail since I don't subscribe to these newsgroup. advTHANKSance =-LieTB-> -- ******************************************************************************* * Compu$erve: 76344,3361 * UUCP: killer!lietb * * Delphi: TBLie * USnail: P.O. The solution is easy. Call novell (or your local users group/dealer) and ask him for the ++ shell (plus, plus) for anet. There is a interrupt conflict int the old version of the shell (which was fixed over a year ago, perhaps longer). Hope that helps. -----Jerry Fountain----- UUCP: {hplabs!hp-sdd,sdcsvax,nosc}!crash!pnet01!gof ARPA: crash!gof@nosc.mil MAIL: 523 Glen Oaks Dr., Alpine, Calif. 92001 INET: gof@pnet01.CTS.COM
