Just curious -- Does anyone favor 'comp' over 'fc'? As far as I'm concerned it's just an excess file, left over from v1.0. 'fc', on the other hand, is not only functional but _fast_ (compared to a 'diff' that was posted recently).

I think it is, like you said, the speed and flexibility. The people who use COMP are the people that want to use wildcards and compare sets of files for differences, like people that use it to verify that COPY correctly copied files onto a diskette using the set "c:\docs\*.txt a:\*.txt". -Lee
