When printing out a menu (such as the help menu found in Procomm that contains both text and "solid" border line), those "solid" lines appear as series of M's or D's instead of straight lines. My question is that does anyone in the group knows what is the cause of this problem and the solution to it. Any help on this problem is greatly appreciated. Thanks... Robert

This will probably be one of many (identical) replies but... The problem is your printer either does not support the characters (line and box type) or that it is set to ignore them. As an example many/most Epsons print out the characters as italics M's and D's. Remember that the line characters are 'extended' characters (ie, they are chr(128) - chr(255)). See what your printer does with these and you will have your problem licked. -- -----Jerry Fountain----- UUCP: {hplabs!hp-sdd,sdcsvax,nosc}!crash!pnet01!gof ARPA: crash!gof@nosc.mil MAIL: 523 Glen Oaks Dr., Alpine, Calif. 92001 INET: gof@pnet01.CTS.COM
