In the recent posting of PICNIX 2.0, I noticed that wc does not give
the correct character count. It adds one to the count for each line
in the file. Its total disagrees with both DIR and the ls that also
comes with PICNIX. It seems like the posted version of PICNIX may
not have been compiled with the same brand of compiler it was originally
written for since different compilers deal with the CR/LF line termination
in different manners.
