[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Disk formats for MS-DOS machines

nick@hp-sdd.HP.COM (Nick Flor) (02/06/88)

Where can I get a good source on the disk format for MS-DOS floppies.
(I don't know if I worded that right. I'm looking for info such as
how many tracks per disk, sectors per track, what track/sector the
directory is supposed to start at, header info for sectors, etc etc)

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Nick

Get a copy of Norton's "Programmer's Guide to the IBM PC".
It has aboiut everything you need to program on an IBM or
MS DOS machine.
