We recently received a DELL (PC Limited) 286 machine equipped with a Video 7
VEGA VGA card and a Mitsubishi XC-1429C analog display.
We are unable to get the monitor to display in any but CGA mode. Calls to
DELL and Video 7 were totally unsatisfactory, with both of them having
no idea what the correct switch setings needed to be, or if the monitor or
card were defective. Has anyone had any experience with the above
combination, or any suggestions. We are expecting a new card/display pair
when DELL gets around to sending it, but I suspect the problem is in
configuration rather than a hardware error.
