Actually, that might be a problem with the software, and not an
incompatibility with the machine. You may have to do a new low-
level format. I'm not sure that DOS 3.3 uses the same sector
size and FAT size as DOS 3.1.

I don't know why you think the Compaq DOS circumvents the need for larger
sector sizes. I thought that's just how they did it.
