[comp.sys.ibm.pc] scientific word processor

evan@ndcheg.UUCP (Evan Bauman) (02/23/88)

My thanks to all who responded to my desperate plea for help in choosing
a scientific word processor. The majority of responses favored
Lotus Manuscript, but there were some votes for othe products.

However, since this WP is intended for our department office staff,
we needed something a bit easier to master than Manuscript. Thus,
we have decided to change the hardware. We're scrapping the model 30's
and buying Mac II's with color screens, 60MB disks, and
Microsoft Word 3.01 . It's double the money, but the technology is
newer and should last longer.

Who could possibly treat their office staff any better??

Flames concerning the relative merits of IBM vs. Apple are directed to
/dev/null.

Anybody interested in a slightly used copy of T3 and 3 copies of Tops for
PC's??
