I have recently acquired a dead cm 3426 - 20 megabyte fixed disk drive. The symptom that the drives seems to display is that on power up it spins up to speed and you can hear the heads seeking. Then the drive spins down while the red led flashes on the front. Anyone out in netland have any idea what might be the problem? I was thinking that it might be a problem with the drives electronics.
