There was a posting that questioned the use of the COPY command
with com ports in DOS 3.2, and refered the reader to page 6-73
of the DOS 3.2 manual. The individual suggested that DOS no longer
supported COPY to or from com ports.
DOS *does* support the com ports with COPY, as always. The note on
that page only states that you cannot use the com ports and COPY
to transfer a file: ie, COPY COM1: COM2:
This type of construct would involve more mucking around than DOS
cares to do. COPY CON: COM1: and similar constructs *do* work.
