The standard has been around for awhile, but the documentation on it is rather confusing, and up until now, there were no fully-pd versions of it, with source code. A friend of mine, Mark Grennan (1:147/1) has written a FOSSIL driver in assembler, and is releas- ing it with full source. It is very nicely commented; the intent was to describe the standard, with functional source to provide an example of implementation. There are some bugs in it (^C isn't properly handled, and it hangs on a remote shelling out to DOS), and some features yet to be implemented, but overall, it is reasonably stable, and complete enough, to be run in a beta-test environment. I've also got the StayRes routines in Turbo C that were written up in the Feb '88 issue of Computer Languages Magazine. If you've been beating your head against the wall, trying to make one work, this code will probably answer most, if not all, of your questions. If anyone is interested in receiving a copy of these, send your request to the address below (NOT THE ONE IN THE HEADER!!). If there are enough requests, I will post here. This code will also be made available for file-request and download, from SOURCEry System BBS, (405)728-2463, 1:147/1 in Oklahoma City. /\_______ ____________________________ (_)\avid ihnp4!occrsh!squid!mollusk | )----- 1:19/1 vox=<405> 848-8868 |/rexler POB 1214, Bethany OK 73008
