banshee@ucscb.UCSC.EDU (Wailin Through The Nets) (03/03/88)

What is the difference/similarity with v20 and 8087
chips? Someone made a mention a few articles back
that windows ran faster with the v20. Please mail
responses, less you feel the posting urge.

The V20 is a replacement for the 8088 chip. It's a CPU, and highly
compatible with the 8088. The 8087 is a math coprocessor, which does 32
bit integer and 32 or 64 bit float arithmetic.
