When computers first came out there was a great deal of talk about how they would find many uses in education, practically revolutionizing the field. Most of the educational software I've seen is aimed at the elementry and jr. high school levels. There seems precious little aimed at high school or college level subjects. I've been unsuccesfully seeking a software calculus course. This would seem to be a natural for computers because it could combine text, calculations and simple animated graphics. Mechanics (in physics), discrete mathematics, analytical geometry, organic chemistry and other fields as well would seem ideally suited to computerized courses. Why doesn't anyone seem to offer these? --Peter Nelson
