[comp.sys.ibm.pc] 6300 Graphic. Need accurate programming info

I need to program the AT&T 6300 graphic card in the 640 x 400 mode and
had little luck.  The documentation I have is internally inconsistent.
To be specific, I need to have the correct bit settings on the two mode
select registers hex 3D8 and hex 3DE.  The AT&T Tech Ref Menu said one
thing at one place and another on the summary page.  I have tried
both and none of them work.  If someone can give me a hit, I will
greatly appreciate the help.

Version 1.5 of Turbo C offers a nice collection of graphics routines
that work with a number of displays and modes, including the AT&T
"super high res" mode 100.  You can write your program to only know
about the 6300 modes, or to work with CGA, EGA, VGA, 8514, PC 3270, and
Hercules monochrome graphics as well.  You get pixel, bitblt, and
common graphics primitives (line, polygon with or without fill, circle
and ellipse, and pie and bar chart segments).  Looks like it works
pretty fast, too.

MS C 5.0 doesn't support any non-IBM display modes; Turbo C 1.0 doesn't
support *any* fancy screen stuff, text or graphics.
