I am in dire need for some documentation for the IBM PC Bisynchronous card (the synchronous serial communications board). Now before you hit the 'n' key because you've never heard of it, I am looking for any books, articles, technical references, example program sources or other documents relevant to programming IBM PC communications, since any of it could potentially lead me to what I am looking for. What am I trying to do is write a simple program that will read characters from the synchronous port of a PC (connected to a 4.8Kbit synchronous modem) and write the characters out to the asynch port. I have the 3 volume IBM PC Technical reference which actually does talk about programming the BSC card, but it is missing some key information. It doesn't tell enough about the interrupts for me to change the vector or what I should set the timers to. Since my experience with PC programming approaches nil, I am not able to write the required software from the information given. Any help would be *greatly* appreciated. I am really getting desperate for this information (and my boss would very much appreciate this program being completed :-)). Please send email, even though I will try to scan this news group for the next few days. email: rgcote@vx.lcs.mit.edu rgcote@xx.lcs.mit.edu rgcote@mit-vax.UUCP -- "O marvelous grace that has rescued me,| Five Minutes After I Die O joyous moment when Jesus I see, | - Blackhouse O happy day when like Him I'll be, | [Rob Cote: rgcote@mit-vax.UUCP Five minutes after I die." | or rgcote@cls.lcs.mit.edu (Internet)]
