I have an underbite condition, and I am comtemplating having the problem corrected, with a procedure that would involve both orthodontia (braces) and surgery. The general strategy in my case would be to straighten the lower teeth with braces, then to move the lower jaw backwards a bit, by sawing through the bone. If you have any experiences with this type of operation, either first-hand or with others, I would appreciate hearing from you. If you have had something similar done and you live in the metropolitan NY or NJ area, I would like to arrange a face-to-face meeting. If you live more distantly, then electronic mail or telephone would be fine. If telephone charges are a problem, either send mail with a good time to call you, or if you phone me, give me your number and ask me to call you back right away. Thank you for your time.
