[comp.sys.ibm.pc] SOFTCRAFT soft fonts for HP laserjet II

josephs@ttidca.TTI.COM (Bill Josephs) (03/26/88)

As a followup on my previous item on SOFTCRAFT (1-800-351-0500) down-
loadable fonts for the HP Laserjet II and compatibles, I just received
a package from them (as an 'upgrade') which takes .PIC files from
Lotus, Supercalc and Quattro (and who knows who else), .TIFF files
from scanners, PC paintbrush files and files prepared by their own
screen dump program (which they also supply in hercules, EGA, CGA and
monochrome forms) and prepares spectacular laser graphics for your
wordprocessor. They aim for Wordperfect and Microsoft Word; I use
XyWrite but the conversion was easy. They use their own fonts (at
whatever point sizes you specify) for labels (not the toy fonts pro-
duced by the spreadsheets) and even orient the y-axis label properly.
They do all the graph types, add boxes around the graphic and drop
shadows behind if you wish, landscape and any kind of scaling and/or
orientation you desire. GREAT PRODUCT!

I am in no way connected with them, only a user.
