[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Keyboard lockup

res1@mhuxu.UUCP (Rick Stealey) (03/29/88)

My keyboard is a 101 key type, used with a Fountain XT clone. If I exit
from Lotus 123 while the numeric keypad is ON, the mode of the keypad
switches, and there does not seem to be a way of restoring it short of
a re-boot. By "switches" I mean that the function of the numeric keypad
reverses (numbers become cursor movement), and the END,HOME, PGUP, etc.
keys print numbers.
Any ideas?

On some Fountain XT's and other clones, unplugging the keyboard and
then reconnecting it will reset the keyboard. How intelligent, or even
convient this may be though...
