Hello world! A friend of mine recently picked up a CDP PC w/10 Mg hard disk. Up until now, there have been no problems. Now, the PC sometimes does not acknowledge the existence of the HD. If will occaisionally come up with "NO FIXED DISKS PRESENT" or some similar message. When one then boots off of a floppy, then reboots, it will usually find the HD and boot off of that. Also, if you leave it alone for a while, it will then realize that there is indeed a hard disk there and you can then reboot. I remember a while ago that someone was having similar problems with a HD on a clone. Anybody have any ideas for possible solutions? Please respond via e-mail (or posting IF you can't mail). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pat Hirayama UUCP: ...!uw-entropy!dataio!suvax1!hirayama Seattle University USNail: 28625-47th Pl S, Auburn, WA 98001-1140 Class of 1988 Phone: (206) 946-0833 " . . .
